Terms and conditions for marine repair services at Wajuvezo Marine Workshop

1. Service Agreement

By engaging Wajuvezo Marine Workshop for repair services, you agree to these terms and conditions. Our services include engine repair, hull restoration, electrical systems, and general marine maintenance for small fishing vessels.

Important: All repair work requires written authorization before commencement. Verbal agreements must be confirmed in writing within 24 hours.

2. Pricing and Payment

Service pricing is based on current market rates for marine repairs in Johor Bahru:

  • Written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue date
  • 50% deposit required for major repairs exceeding RM 1,000
  • Final payment due upon completion and before vessel release
  • Additional costs for parts or extended labor require customer approval
  • Emergency repairs may incur premium rates (25% surcharge)

3. Warranty Terms

We provide comprehensive warranty coverage:

  • 6-month warranty on all major repairs and replacement parts
  • 90-day warranty on routine maintenance services
  • Warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials
  • Customer abuse, normal wear, or environmental damage excluded
  • Warranty work performed during regular business hours only

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide accurate vessel information and repair history
  • Remove all personal items before service begins
  • Ensure vessel is accessible at agreed location and time
  • Pay invoices within agreed terms (typically 7 days)
  • Follow recommended maintenance schedules

5. Liability and Insurance

Wajuvezo Marine Workshop maintains comprehensive insurance coverage. Our liability is limited to the cost of repair services provided. We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage not disclosed during initial inspection
  • Consequential damages from vessel downtime
  • Loss of fishing income during repair period
  • Damage from severe weather or natural disasters

6. Parts and Materials

We use only genuine or OEM-equivalent parts when available. Customers may request specific brands or suppliers, subject to availability and additional costs. All parts carry manufacturer warranties where applicable.

7. Vessel Storage

Vessels left at our facility are stored at customer's risk. We provide reasonable security but are not responsible for theft, vandalism, or weather damage. Storage fees apply for vessels left beyond 30 days after repair completion.

8. Dispute Resolution

Disputes are resolved through good faith negotiation. If necessary, matters will be handled through Malaysian courts in Johor Bahru jurisdiction. We encourage customers to raise concerns promptly to ensure satisfactory resolution.

9. Service Limitations

Our services are designed for small fishing vessels under 40 feet. We reserve the right to decline repairs beyond our expertise or equipment capabilities. Hazardous materials or severely damaged vessels may require specialized facilities.

10. Terms Modification

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in services, regulations, or business practices. Customers will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
